Comment: Springfield model 1903 with original S stock. According to my research, this was a Remington manufactured 1942 1903
[1942 3000001 - 3348085]

However the barrel was made before the receiver, in November 1941 as denoted by the barrel mark behind the front sight. 11-41

No doubt this would have served in WW2 given date range.

Metalwork is very good considering age, with original patina throughout.
Woodwork is good as well, a few dings but not surprising given its age and history.

Bore is shiny and bright, as if it left the factory yesterday. definitely a shooter and a collector, especially for an 80 year old rifle

Comes with original sight hood cover.
