Comment: Lithgow SMLE service rifle. 303, 10 shot magazine, 25 inch barrel with good to very good bore & strong rifling. Military finish to action good with some wear. Blued finish to the mag, muzzle cap & trigger guard worn with dark patina. Dull, oxidized patina to brass barrel band & buttplate. Non-matching bolt, matching barrel cap, forend, barrel etc.
Stock overall in good to very good condition with small chip near the receiver. Some minor bruising & handling marks to forend & stock. Stock stamped MA Lithgow SMLE, III* HV, 1943. Body socket stamped MA Lithgow SMLE, II* HV, 1942. Fitted with period canvas sling. No oil bottle. In very good working order & good to very good condition. #D55561 L/R
